So I have had a Love/Hate Relationship with my Birthdays since I turned 25. Why am I a Hater???? Because I get sad and depressed because I don't like getting older and 25 was the first time that I felt this and have every year since. 25 was the first time that I felt closer to 30 than 20 and so my friends, all I can say is that I always thought people were REALLY old when they were in their 30's and now that I am getting close I realize that I am one of those OLD people. I am tired of people going, "but you are still so young" well that does not matter to me because to me I am NOT young anymore. Why am I a Lover??? I do love birthdays because it is the only day that it is about you, at least it is supposed to be. You get your favorite cake (my hubby always makes me mine) and presents. So in an effort to make me feel happy about this day because 28 is very daunting I am posting some of my favorite things in no particular order...........
1. I loved my wedding dress. My mother made it and the whole top was done in beads that I made her sew on because we could not find something already made. 
2. I have always loved this photo my sister took of my brothers and I with my cat "Blacky" 
3. I love reading on the couch or in bed or watching a really good chick flick, here are two of my favorite ones. Brett thinks that I have watched these atleast 100 times and just rolls his eyes everytime I watch one.
4.I love pictures and so here are some of my favorite ones of me.....
5. When I was younger I went nowhere without my 2 best friends Jamie and Harmony. Here is Jamie and I, I couldn't find one of all three of us when we were little.
6. This is my favorite picture of Brett,on his mission in Thailand.
7. I can't forget Gweniveve. I love her name, of course since I picked it out and after long months of convincing Brett that he liked it too. I am so glad Brett talked me into having her because I was scared out of my mind with the idea of childbirth.
8. Last but not least, Brett's body. I have always told him I only married him for his body.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope it doesn't rain you out at Disneyland- I would LOVE to go but I am not allowed to go for 9 more weeks.
I LOVE Pride & Prejudice (my sister loves it more, she has read it several times and has watched every version many times).
I love your list and your SIL's post about you is great too. I understand about the birthday thing, I still think of myself as 20 years old but the older my kids get the weirder that gets.
Happy Birthday! It's hard to believe that people OUR AGE are turning 28 this year...I'll be there in August! Yikes! That was a fun post...are those monkeys on Brett's leg? Scary!
Happy Birthday! I won't tell you that you're still young. I'll just say that in 10 years from now, you'll recognize how young you were. Too bad we can't recognize it when we're in the moment! Fun post!

Darci I loved the picture of Brett. I hadn't seen that picture before. Brysen though it was very cool. Those were all great pictures of you too!!!!!! Darci, 30 is the new 20, didn't you know? JK. The wavy hair that Whit has is from a triple barrel curling iron, she got it from Target. There are two barrels on either side of a higher barrel. They are all connected. You just clamp down on your hair and move it down to the next spot. She likes the bigger size of curling iron. You should try it, it is pretty easy and has great results. Pretty fast too. Good luck!
I am the worst friend ever! I totally spaced your birthday! Just for the record - I didn't call Reed on his birthday either and he is my brother - so at least understand that I treat everyone poorly - not just you! Happy 28th! I am over birthday's too. I like to party but let's not talk numbers.
