Kimberly put up "a letter to me" on her blog and urged us all to do the same, but I decided to write one to Devo my favorite Bro. because being around all of my friends boys (Gwen is like the only girl) I am reminded of all the fun things that Devon did for us as kids.
To my bro:
Thanks for always letting me play with you, especially on rainy days and we would build forts and play with your GI Joes. You always shared your cars and taught me how to be a boy and not such a girl. You were really creative and always made things for us to do, I especially remember the go cart that you made with a small motor that you had found and we rode on it outside. I always loved that we would slide down the stairs on the silky sleeping bag into all the pillows that you arranged at the bottom. You would let me sleep in your bed when I was scared after an earthquake, I am a total scaredy cat. Even when you were in High school and should have been to cool for me, you showed me where everything was and let me know that you and your football friends would beat up any guy that bothered me. You and I would go out and see movies and hang out all the time that some people thought we were dating (hehe). Thanks for being my friend (sniff, sniff) I always loved that we were good friends and had so much fun together. I have been remembering so much of those times when we were little since I have seen some of my friends kids and that they do alot of those things with each other, but they are all boys and I was a girl and you still did them with me. thanks. I love ya.

How sweet! What a great brother (and sister for writing it down)! I hope my boys stay as good as friends as you are with your brother.
Very sweet...I can only hope that my boys have a sister they can take care of someday!!
What a surprise! I read this out loud to Devon and he loved it! I was always worried when I had a boy after having a girl because I was afraid that they wouldn't grow up to be good friends like sisters or brothers usually are. But, now I watch them play together, and, after reading your memories, know that they will be as close as you two were. Love ya!
By the way, that waxing story was hilarious...you poor thing...has your face recovered?
Kim,
I am still in recovery, my face is peely (sp?) and has ruff spots like a lizard, I still can't believe it happened.
That was so sweet of you! Devon has always been such a genuinely nice guy...he loves making sure everyone is taken care of. I love that he was such a good big brother...I hope Parker is the same for his little sister!
Of course, I loved reading this blog,, my cute kids, good friends, just like a Mom wants!!!!! Precious memories, thanks Darci, love MOM
