fight, fight to the death

Ok, so this is my issue and frustration for the last couple of months. I have been fighting with the hospital about my bill from when I had Gwenie. Everytime I call and talk to them I get a different story and no one is on the same page. We are fighting about $, of course. I have been telling them FOREVER that they have the amount wrong and I have it right, according to my bank.

So I finally get really upset at the hospital because nothing was getting done and no one was being helpful and I was tired of having to call every 2 seconds and try to get it resolved and getting a new story from the representatives. So they finally told me that they need copies of the checks front and back to prove that they received them and it is their fault. We use online banking so I do not have the actual checks, the bank mails out a check to the people that do not accept direct deposit.

Next step was calling my bank and getting them to mail me the checks, turns out this has been just another HUGE problem. I have called the bank 4 times and each time I am assured that I will be receiving my checks within 3 business days and that everything is fine, but of course things are not fine. I have never received my checks. Every person assures me but I am not assured. What does it take to get someone to do their job correctly?????

I went into my branch the other day and asked them to help me with this problem because no one was helping me. The branch told me that they can't do anything it is all the 800 # that I have been using to get me the checks. So of course I was almost crying at this point for someone to just help me. Should I just pay the extra $ to the hospital or should I fight??? I decide to "fight, fight to the death" (from one of my favorite movies you've got mail) So I call the 800# for the 4 time and immediately ask for a manager. I get a manager and finally I get someone who knows what they are talking about, he tells me dates and amounts and knew exactly what the problem was, 2 checks had been returned and so I DID owe the hospital the amount that they have been claiming. But of course it was the banks fault because they never let me know that 2 check were returned. They said that the mail returned the checks for having the wrong address, and I let him know that they have the right address as they have sent many checks to the hospital, and he told me that that is how the mail works. I was not amused.

So anywho, after all of this "fight, fight to the death" stuff, I owed the hospital, but it is all the banks fault.

I LOVE that movie too.

I hate when I get stubborn about stuff and then I am wrong- I HATE being wrong.

I knew that was YOU GOT MAIL! As soon as I read the title, I assumed you had taken it from there. I love that movie!

Sorry though for the of that frustration. Not fun to go through. I agree with Karin though, I don't like admitting I am wrong.

I wasn't wrong though, really the bank was and I was going on bad info. It was the banks fault!!!!

What a PAIN!!! At least you fought to the death, though...better to find out what the deal is even if it meant you were wrong!

Oh, that is so annoying!! Why is always such a hassle to get things, like this, taken care of. Why can't people always just go the extra-mile to look up some info and help you out! Well, at least you got it figured out...even if you owed the hospital money!

That is such a pain. I don't understand why no one ever seems to know what is going on and no one seems to be able to help you even though it is their responsibility to know things and help you!! And the thing is you were not trying to get out of paying the money you owed if indeed you did owe it, you just wanted some proof that it was owed since according to your records it was not. I can't believe the bank didn't notify you about the checks being sent back. Seems like a slip up on their part. Hope you didn't have any late fees added cause that would really tick me off:)!!!!! I feel your frustration!

I hate when you have to fight for something as simple as good customer service! I always fight to the death, too! Maybe it comes from being in a customer service atmosphere for a long time, but I just expect people to help me and don't settle for anything less! I'm glad you got it straightened out!
