I wanted to share with you a little crazy thing that Gwenie does. She has done this forever and still continues. First it was our shoes that are all stacked by the front door.....She picks them up and then throws them behind her and continues doing this
Then it was the contents of my purse....
Don't forget her clothes out of her drawers....This one is the worst because I have her drawers organized by size and content. I recently have given up on that.
She also loves to pull out her bath toys and throw those around the bathroom while I am in the shower...
This is the easiest one to pick up, I have all her stuff in a drawer in the kitchen...
I keep thinking she will get over it, but she keeps on going. I was telling Brett why do I even bother picking it up??? She goes right back to it once I put it away. I should just wait until she goes to bed and then clean it up, but I can't, I can't handle all that mess in the house.
Has anyone else's child done this??? Please tell me I don't have the only one!!!!

I don't have kids so I can't tell you if others do it, but I always think it's hilarious when she does it, I really love it when she does it with the shoes. At least it keeps her occupied!
I mostly wanted to say I LOVE the outfit with the pink top and brown pants...soooo cute! Goodluck!
It seems to just lessen, my boys will dump out containers of toys but we sing the Clean Up song from Nursery and they clean it up (even when it was everything, I had them clean it up).
You're so funny. Of course ALL children do this! Good news, they grow out of it. Until then, happy cleaning and forget about being organized for the next few years!
Jill used to regularly empty all her well organized clothes (just like you have them) out of her drawers so I also gave up on the organized method for a while. Then it was all the books, every last one on the floor. Carter has been a little better but he emptys the book shelf with regularity. They do grow out of it and just try to keep your purse up out of reach. That worked for me.
I agree, I think all kids do it. I think you're smart keeping all the kitchen stuff together. But I have to say that it does make life easier to let some piles go or like Karen said have them help. It keeps them occupied for about twice as long as the taking it all out. And at her age it can be fun..but that also doesn't last too long...so soak it up while you can.
I hope it is a phase but I am not sure....Noah still does it but now we have him trained to clean it up. Gwenie was cracking me up on sunday when she was throwing all the stuff behind her...too cute!!
You're definitely not alone!!
I think it's hilarious! You've known since she started crawling around at what was it, 4 weeks old, that she was going to be a handful and give you a run for your money. Honestly, Mason has never been one for making much of a huge mess -- but recently he has discovered his sock drawer and loves to pull apart all the matched socks! She'll grow out of it@ (But probably just grow into something else! :)
Darcie: Yea, they grow out of it...for a couple of years. Then it all begins again upon becoming a teenager......good luck! Love, elaine
