Gone Organic - a day of mornings

Gone Organic - a day of mornings

Here are Erin and I for just a day of mornings, we promised that we would do these randomly so I texted Erin last night to see if she was up for it! Here is my story for today:

Well as it turns out it doesn't take a Doctor to figure out what is wrong with your child. After 4 different specialist Doctors it just took Erin and Kami to tell me that maybe it is the diapers that are causing Penelope to still have all of these skin problems. So I went Organic and it changed our life!

I went to Whole foods and bought these diapers and I also bought this formula to try a Soy based formula. I did all of this since the Doctors didn't know what else to do and also because the insurance did not approve the hypo-allergenic formula since none of her testing showed she was allergic to dairy or soy, plus we could not afford to buy this formula on our own with out help from the insurance so I had to find another solution. We knew she was allergic/intolerant to one of them since she would throw-up and have diarrhea immediately after drinking the regular Enfamil formula. So I thought I would test to see if it was the dairy that she doesn't have a tolerance/allergic to or the soy. I decided to try a soy based formula first since the Enfamil is milk based and she has issues with that. Well Mother's Intuition is awesome!!! That formula is a Godsend.

I am also using the Beaba Babycook (which I will be doing a review post about soon) to make all of her food so that is all organic and substance free since she is just going to be a child that is allergic to almost everything.

With both of these changes in her life she looks awesome doesn't she??? Her skin is amazing (don't get me wrong she still has some eczema but NOTHING like before) it is white instead of red and it has so many smooth places. We can only pray that this continues.

We also have bought all organic bedding which is hypo-allergenic for all of us and bought air purifiers and all of this has made for a better life for us. Who knew?!?!?!

Don't get me wrong she is still allergic to Nuts and we are a Nut free home, but it turns out that it is not just Nuts. Now it is Dairy but the difference is that she is Intolerant to Dairy and Allergic to Nuts. The difference is that intolerance does not require an EpiPen and being a dairy free home. Intolerance just means that she cannot eat it since it gives her diarrhea and she throws up.

Get it?

Plus Penelope is 7 months today.
