My Bedroom - day 17

This painting was supposed to be hung above my couch but it did not look good there much to my disappointment. I picked out this photograph and asked my Mom to paint it since I love her paintings and I much prefer to have real art in my house, so it is my fault that I thought it would look good. Good thing this morning I thought to hang it above Brett's dresser and it looks great! I added one of my favorite vases to the mix and we are all set, now I just need to get some flowers in the vase.

Thanks Mom so much for taking the time to paint this picture for our birthday's it really is beautiful.

a week of mornings - day 3

I really could not decide between these two pictures for today since they both fit my mood, so I am using both. I really want to get back into bed and read a really good book! I had horrible nightmares last night (i.e. Someone broke into our house at night and Brett & I were fighting with him while another guy grabbed Gwenie and ran off with her. My nightmares were along that line ALL last night. I did not sleep well, to say the least.)

So I really wanted to lose myself in a really good book this morning, but I have too much to do. I am making lots of crafty things for Gwenie's B-Day party this weekend and I am having a playdate at my house with a good friend, Sara.



Oh well. Now I am off to see what Erin posted for the day!

i like change

Finally after 2 weeks of disarray, we received our new bedroom furniture. I sold our old furniture fast and so everything had been in boxes and all around the room because of taking everything out of the furniture. Super messy and made the room not restful, but it had to be done. We had almost forgotten how the furniture looked like and luckily it was beautiful and we just love it. We have had our old stuff for 7 years and it was sooooo time for a change. You can't believe all the stuff we took to donate and throw away. Brett and I have always had a 1 year rule. If you don't use it or wear it in a year you get rid of it.




Also this was just so cute, Gwenie was using Brett's leg as a resting place while they were watching tv on Sunday.
