OC Fair 2009

Orange County Fair 2009

We just love the fair! It has been a tradition that we go ever year with Brett's family. I think I had only been one other time when I was 19 on a date otherwise I never went growing up. Being almost 6 months pregnant did not deter me! I wanted my fried zucchini, and it was everything I had hoped for.

We got there before Brett's parents and Kami so we took Gwenie to see the livestock.

Looking at cows

This cow (I forget what they call it specifically) had the hugest horns ever!!!

a cow with horns?!?!

Last year Gwenie rode the horses and she LOVED it, so that is what we did first this year and again she loved it. Here is last years OC fair post.

so happy

huge smiles

After we ate all of our yummy, to much of it to eat it all, food we took Gwenie on rides. She was not tall enough last year for any of them so this was our first experience with it. She wanted the slide first. I said I would go on it with her since it is just a slide.

Here we are before we get on the ride. Before I had any idea of what I was getting myself into. Like my new sunglasses that I just got that day at the fair?

It went soooo fast, I was not prepared.

Then she rode the pirate ship

and then we did the slide again. She loved that the most.

Brett did not want Kami to take his picture while Gwenie and I were on the slide a second time, he is so funny.

didn't want his pic taken

She got this good one of Mom & Dad, to bad we didn't get any with Kami in it. Did you plan that Kami???

My in laws

We took Gwenie to the petting zoo portion of the fair since she loves animals and loved it last time, but this time she wanted someone to hold her the whole time. It was really cool to be there. This year they had Kangaroos and baby deer and lots of baby pigs that they did not have last year. So sad I didn't get a cute picture of Gwenie hugging a goat this year.(see last years post)

After all of that we walked around and got dessert, but not before we got one pic of Gwenie in some cheese!

Say cheese!

It was a great time! If you are ever in the OC (don't call it that) around July/August don't forget to stop by the Fair.
