Christmas Festivities

So.......I know it has been forever since I posted last, but all I have to say is POST PARDOM SUCKS!!!!! I had it with Gweniveve but I was able to function and it was ok. But this time it is a billion times worse and I had to get on meds to function which if you know me is a HUGE deal. I HATE meds.

Anywho, here is some of the pictures from this last month.

Penelope at 6 weeks. Erin made me those fabric blocks that spell out Penny. We call her Penelope or L-O-P (per Gwen).

I do get out of the house when Brett is around. It is alot easier to be around people then to be alone with PP. This time Brett's family went with us to the Orange County zoo in Irvine. We went last year also, it is really fun to go and see the animals plus Santa. Gwen, of course, had to bring Elmo along.

She was alittle scared of the goat, but Papa wanted to feed it.

Gwen would not sit on Santa's lap so I had to get in the photo. Bummer.

Santa

They had crafts next to Santa and Gwen loves to color. Kami was helping her color a reindeer hat.

Then we rode on the train. This time they had TONS of peakcocks running around and we got to see then up close, they are so pretty.

More posts to come of all that went on in December.

Inspiration

I have been wanting to make Gwenie a quilt for along time and have had many ideas, but it has never happened. Finally I was inspired by a quilt I found on a quilting blog. I am going to make it for one of Gwenie's Christmas presents, she loves blankets. I called my mom to have her help me think of the best way to go about it, since I do not have a pattern just a picture. I am even going to attempt to "free hand" embroider. I haven't done that since Junior high, which was a long time ago. I am so excited to start and see how it all goes, especially the embroidery part. I am a little scared to draw what I want on the material, hopefully I won't suck. You will have to wait until I am done to see it but, here is just a peek:

My wish list.

Countdown

I have been sitting here thinking of Christmas. Crazy I know but it really is just around the corner. For once I was thinking about what I wanted. I actually have some things in mind, and I usually don't. I have some expensive items that I know will not be practical for Christmas, I will need to save money for a long time to buy, but I still can hope and dream right?

Prime example:

1.Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens is one of the best, and really expensive. I can dream.

But this one is more practical (and MUCH cheaper)

Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens. I have the camera but I want the perfect lens.

Confession. I love coats. I am obsessed with them. I know I live where most people would think that just a light coat would be fine, but no, I LOVE winter coats. They are so fashionable and fun. I want this one, it is the perfect shape and color for me and surprisingly enough I found it at Target.

2.

Boots or as Brett calls them "Hooker Boots". I love me some high heeled, tall, great boots for the winter so that you are able to still wear skirts and not freeze. Extra bonus, Brett thinks that they are super sexy. My boots I have now are old and not really in fashion anymore and I want some new ones. I found these and I love them but I don't know how I feel about the buckles. I am still on the look out for the perfect pair.

3.

I miss clothes shopping. For me. Since Gwenieve I have become the grab and try on at home person. That is so not me and I miss taking my time to find the perfect clothes and try them on IN THE STORE.

4. Babysitter and some money for clothes.

My SIL Kami makes gorgeous blankets. She has made Gwenie 2 and me 1, so far. I just saw this blanket on this blog and I want it. Is is just so awesome.

5.

Oh wait, I have another one that I thought of. I have an OLD version of Photoshop and it is not mine so I can't buy the updates. I really want to OWN Photoshop so that I can update it, so any version will do. I love Photoshop!

6.

There I think that is all the I want for Christmas, but this is just a wish list and I know that I am dreaming. What does your Christmas list say??
