Happy Birthday Penelope.

Today Penelope turns 1. She is the happiest baby. She is always smiling. She loves to give you loves. The best is when she lays her head on your shoulder.

We had a family party yesterday and I made her a Foofa cake from Ya Gabba Gabba since she loves that show.

She didn't really eat a whole lot her of cake. She mainly liked to put it in her hands and mush it all together.



I made her the same Princess Birthday Hat that I made Gwen for her 2nd birthday. I made Penelope's in the colors of Foofa. She is also wearing the shirt that I made her for the family pictures.



The hat is better in person I can't get a great photo of it with the lighting that is today. Maybe later I can try again, but Penelope sure had fun and loved it.

I just got back from Penelope's 1 year check up and wanted to come back and post her stats so that I will have them written down.

Length : 30 1/2"

Weight: 21 lbs 12 oz.

11 months & having fun

Penelope turned 11 months the other day.

She has added some words to her list. Nana (grandma), Gen (Gwen) & done. She really has been talking and finding her voice lately.



Here are the girls together so rare to get a good one of them both. Penelope had just woken up and they were having fun laughing together so I grabbed the camera.



Gwen loved the Hula Hoop of a neighbors. Might need to add that to the Christmas list.



Penelope wakes up with the biggest fro. Her hair sticks up like no other. It is so cute and so funny since Gwen's never did that.



Penelope's favorite thing is to push the stroller or her car around the house.



and of course playing with her sister.



To be fair here is a picture of Gwen with her morning messy hair.



Penelope and I have been doing alot of sitting outside watching Gwen play. I can't wait for Penelope to walk. The crawling thing is just not my favorite since it is so hard outside to crawl.

She's a tall chunk

Atleast compared to what Gwenie was. It is hard to not compare especially since I only have 2 kids. As of today for Penelope's 9 month check up:

19 lbs 8 oz

29 3/4" tall

Gweniveve 9 months

17 lbs 6 oz

28 3/4" tall



Penelope is an inch taller than Gwen which is amazing since Gwen has always been soooo tall. Should be interesting to see who ends up the tallest. Penelope is also 2 lbs 2 oz more. Taller & chunkier.

2 days before she turned 9 months:

• decided to climb out of her bed and fall out. What scares me about this is that Gwen was not afraid of anything and was trying everything but she NEVER did that! What does that mean we have in store from Penelope?!?!?!?!? I.AM.SCARED.

• pulled herself up standing to the couch and walks the whole length of the couch.

• has 4 teeth

It was fun to get some pictures today on the top bunk where we rarely go. It is where all the cute pillows are!

8 Months

• still scooting no crawling yet

Penelope is wearing the dress that I made while sewing with my Mom (more pictures to come of that) and the headband my Mom made. You can see Penelope's first tooth in this picture, the one she got while we were at the movies seeing Toy Story 3. Seriously it is so great to have her she is the best baby ever!!!! We soooo deserve it. (Need I remind you of all the stuff we went through with Gweniveve?) It is amazing to since she has such bad food/environment allergies and her skin is always in shambles. You would think she would be a VERY unhappy baby but she is not.

6 Month Comparison

What can I say I love doing the comparisons. It is so fun to see how alike and yet different these 2 girls are. Gweniveve is on the left and Penelope is on the right.

We went to the Dr. this week for Penelope's 6 month check up and Gweniveve's 3 year so here is Gweniveve's 3 year stats.



39 1/2" long

30 lbs.

2 weeks after Penelope turned 6 months she started scooting. She would pull with her elbows and push with her feet.

4 Month Comparison - day 23

Penelope's Stats were:

25 1/2 " long

14 lbs 4 oz



Gwen's Stats were:

25 3/4" long

13 lbs 6 oz

I am really surprised that Penelope is only a pound more than Gwen because she seems to be thicker than Gwen. Guess we were wrong. Do you think they look alike????
