Celebration.

First we went to Dland so that I could get my much awaited gift card. Remember this post? I also had heard that you had to spend the money that day, but girls it is not true. The Disney peeps told me that they did that the first day and it was horrible so thay changed the rule and you get to use the gift card all year!!! Whoo Hoo!!! Since we were there we did get some things but I still have money left.

Gwenie is totally addicted to Toy Story (YAY, movies Brett and I can watch with her) and so I got her Woody and Buzz and they have not been parted since. I also have an obsession with Mr. Potato heads. It all started when I saw Darth Tater. The name alone grabbed me, but he was super cute too. Have you seen him?

My in laws heard me talking about him and bought him for me along with Spudtrooper. So when I saw Princess Tater at Dland I had to have her. Does this count as something Princessey girls???

Kami came to watch Gwenie so that Brett and I could go to the movies and dinner. Thanks again Kami. The movie was good and dinner was AWESOME. You can't go wrong with the Melting Pot.

Brett and I also have a Birthday tradition that has lived on these 8 1/2 years of marriage. We make each other our favorite cakes. I love the funfetti white cake and I have not changed my mind on it all of these years. It is the one thing that Brett makes for me and I love it.



Gwenie helped me blow out the candles, she was so excited to have some cake.



Birthday's are great, it is always nice to have a day for yourself, BUT..........I HATE I repeat I HATE getting older. 29 is SCARY it is one away from 30 and that is crazy. I really cannot believe that I have been around that long.

The Movies Part 2

A bunch of us met at Red Robin for dinner and then the girls all left to see the movie. Red Robin was really loud, but I got some cute pictures.

I think this is the first picture I like of me with my braces. Notice my hand holding Gwenie's head so that she would look at the camera, she just wanted to color.

So I TOTALLY underestimated the "teeny bopper" girls that would be at Twilight. I was not prepared for them screaming every TWO seconds during the movie. Don't get me wrong it made for an interesting experience and it was super funny, but it got somewhat annoying when you missed part of the movie because you could not hear what was going on. I really need to go and see it again with out the "teeny bopper's" .

I was not letting myself get to excited for the movie because I really did not like the actor choices, but let me tell you once the movie started that all went away. Edward was still a great Edward even though I didn't think that I would like the actor that was chosen, boy was I wrong. I liked the movie, but thought there was way to many drawn out scenes where Bella and Edward just starred at eachother (and I am a total romantic, so that must tell you that their were just to many of those scenes). They left out alot of great dialogue from the book, they could have filled those drawn out starring scenes with some dialogue. I was a fan though and can't wait to see it again.

Why do I love to watch her eat??? I really need to get over this. I can't blame her as Claim Jumper is really good food.

Fries Debate.

Ok. Brett & I have discussed this many times with each other and with others and I want everyone's opinion. Apparently people have STRONG opinions about it. Carl's Jr. changed their fries to this new Natural Cut Fries. Both Brett & I love the new fries and think they are way better. What do you think?

I have a friend, Erin. She moved, over a year ago, to UTAH. Every now and again I read on her blog how much Utah is lacking in the Hamburger department. I totally agree as I have a Dad who consistently complains about it and every time he comes to Cali I treat him to his favorite Hamburger joint in Tustin. Anywho, Erin really misses her favorite Hamburger joint. So Erin this is for you.

Happy Anniversary

31 Years together, Congratulations. Thanks Mom and Dad for inviting us all to enjoy it with you. We went to celebrate at this restaurant:


It was a very beautiful day/night out and we were down by the beach so we had some wind when we left, but it was a nice evening. The food was really yummy and the service was good. Both Brett and I felt really relaxed after the meal, so much that Brett does not want to go to work tomorrow.

Gwenie was so good and stayed in her high chair the whole time. I was really nervous about her going because it is a really nice resturant and super quiet and I did not think others would react well to a toddler being there, but she was great.
