3rd day = Kayaking

Monday on our vacation Marc & Erin suggested that we all go kayaking on their lake. The Lake is in their community of Daybreak and is free for residents. Sounded like a lot of fun to us and another first for Gwenie to experience.

on the dock

We arrived at the Lake early so we let the kids run around while the boys went to buy Brett some flip flops (we forgot his) he was going to need them on this trip which tends to get you a little wet.

enjoying the view

Erin and I have a little tradition. We cram Mason & Gwenie into a toddler swing and take a picture of them everytime we are together. I am going to be really sad when the kids don't fit in one any longer. If you want to check out the other 2 pics that we have taken.....

they still can swing together

The rest of these pics are from Erin's iphone, I did not want to take my camera on this trip to scared of it getting wet. I realized once I got into the Kayak I should have just worn my bathing suit and wrap. I got SOAKED!!!! I was just sitting in a puddle of water the whole time, but it did keep me cool.

Kayaking

About half way around the lake we parked our kayaks and got out where there was this creek. It was really nice to get out and cool off. Brett & Marc were really enjoying their time together. It is just not Erin & I that are BFF's but these guys have been friends since high school.

Gwenie was wearing her life vest but I took it off when we pulled over. I should have left it on for this pic it would have been so cute to get them both in their vests.

Taking a break

The ride took 2 hours, who knew the lake would be that big? Gwen was tired of it about half way through, this girl does not like to sit still for long.

1st day = Bee's Game

We arrived in Salt Lake on Friday night to stay with our BFF's Marc, Erin & Mason. Gwenie LOVED the plane ride, she could not stop saying "Airplane Mommy, Airplane Daddy". She did hate wearing the seat belt on the plane though. We talked and hung out the first night and then Saturday we went to the Bee's game, which is the AAA team for the Angels.

It is a great place to take kids, since you bring blankets and sit on the grass so that they can run around. It was a gorgeous night so I took tons of pictures, I can't resist great lighting.

We took the train to the stadium, Gwenie's first time on a real train (Disneyland trains don't really count).

looking at her shadow

Mason had to deal with Gwenie wanting to give him hugs all day long.

Awe......

I tried to get a pic of Erin and I since we never get one together, so I took this one on the train, not to bad.

Erin & I

On the train

The boys carried the kids since it was a busy area. So funny that both Mason and Gwenie are looking the same way in this pic.

The stadium was handing out batting helmets and Gwenie LOVED hers. Brett then went and bought him a Bee's hat too.

Gwenie kept rolling around on the grass, she just loved being out there.

All I can say about this pic is that we tried!

Gwenie & I

Such a sweet pic! Love it.

Erin & Mason

She loved everything about the game, if only they had this set up at the Angels stadium them we would go alot more.

watching

She carried the mitt that Mason let her borrow just like a pro.

Watching & Waiting

Last but not least we went and visited Bumble, the Bee's Mascot. Gwenie was a little nervous of him at first but once she saw Mason go up to him she was game. I don't know why she was nervous she loves all the characters at Disneyland.

a little nervous to meet Bumble

Reading Peter Pan, waiting for the train to come and take us home after a long but fun night!

Our 4th of July

Happy 4th of July!

Well. As you can tell I am back!!! YAY. I took a buttload of pictures which I have been to sick to do and it was so awesome to get back into pictures. So caution TONS of pictures ahead.....

Our 4th of July was spent at Brett's parents all day. We went early, around 10am, so that Gwenie could get in all the swimming that she wanted! She was in the pool 5 different times and they were all for a good amount of time, she LOVES the pool. Before I would let her get into the pool, I made her have a little photoshoot in her darling dress that I found. I couldn't find anything for her to wear this year and finally came across this dress, but they only had it in a size 5. I can sew, though, right? Right. I shortened the straps and took in the sides and it turned out awesome, I was very proud. ( I just noticed that she has some food on her face, oops should have edited that out, sorry)

so excited

She loved this floating bed (she called it a pillow). Kami and I had a lot of fun pushing her around in this bed. She just looked like the queen of the castle.

relaxing

Brett surprised us and got into the pool. It was awesome!

Don't you just love pool hair???

I just love the back of her bathing suit. The ruffles are the cutest thing.

fish out of water

While Gwenie was napping we played Wii. We took our Wii over for the first time and had tons of fun playing all the games with everyone. Even though there are tons of new games out there I really think Mario Bros. is the best. Kami brought her Wii Active over so that we could try it out, I was cracking up big time watching Brett play, here he is trying to do squats. LOL.

After dinner we got the poppers out. Gwenie loved it all, you never know if they will not like the loudness.

friends all around.

Waiting for our friends to arrive at BJ's.

Buddies

We got one more night with our good friends, Marc, Erin & Mason. We went to BJ's to celebrate Mason's 2 birthday before they leave to go back to Utah.

Happy Birthday Mason!!!

Happy Birthday Mason.

I am sad that they are leaving, I will miss having Erin around. We have become such great friends, which probably surprises our husbands since they were friends and then introduced Erin and I. You never know how you will met someone.

Friends

Plus, who would want to pull these two apart?

Dancing buddies

When these two get together, craziness ensues. They were intently discussing/playing with the kids menus. You really have to know them to understand.

discussion with crayons

We miss you already. There really isn't anything like having good friends around to hang out with.
