I wanted to get the traditional (atleast to me) Christmas picture with Santa, but everywhere I went you were not allowed to use your own camera or if you did you had to buy a picture then you could use yours. Well that was not for me, so today I remembered that Irvine Regional Park had an awesome pumpkin patch (remember this post?)that we went to, so they must have an awesome Santa, right?? I get online and they say that Santa is there from noon until 8pm and that can you take your own pictures for FREE!! YAY!! Brett's parents came along with us and we got there and they said it was not the park that had Santa (they had him at night and you had to ride the train to get to meet him for $8 a person! Sheesh!) it was the zoo that had Santa! Did they just say the zoo?!?! I had NO idea that they had a zoo at that park. We were so surprised and very impressed with the small zoo that they had. It was only $2.00 a person and Gwenie was free. They had so many animals and we were amazed at how awesome their selection was:
Lions, bears, bobcats, beavers, goats, sheep, eagles, peacocks, leopards, turtle doves, raccoons, and so much more. Here are some of them. I got some great pictures.

Doesn't everyone look so amazed? lol.

I love this family photo. If only we had this in time for the Christmas card, oh well.

We had so much fun, it was such a surprise to be at a zoo and to see all the cool stuff that they had. (NOTE: Girls we so have to go as a group one day soon.) Santa was in the middle and he was great with Gwenie trying to get her to be his friend.

But I had to get into the picture with her this year. She wasn't afraid she was just shy.

We left the zoo and went back to the park and went on the train. On the ride we even got to see some wild peacocks. Gwenie kept saying "whee" the whole time, she loved the train ride. Thanks Mom & Dad.

Doesn't this pictures crack you up? Grandma & Grandpa posing with Gwenie when all she wanted was a drink of her water.

My little elf. She is such a great helper.

We had such a great time. I will have to remember to go to this again next year.
