What do you do when you need a break????

Go to Disneyland!!!!!

Saturday after Gwenie woke up from her nap we went to Disneyland. We have been DYING to take Gwenie on the Materhorn, so I put her in shoes that have a big sole and prayed that she would be tall enough.

I didn't even need the high shoes she was plenty tall enough. (whoo hoo for my iphone, it is great not to have to lug around a big camera at Disneyland)



This is how she prepared herself for the ride. This is her favorite thing to do now, she is always pretending to be asleep everywhere she goes.

She was smiling when the ride was over! YAY. It was so fun to take her on her first actual roller coaster ride.



Then we took her on her favorite ride, the carousel. She just loves this one.



Then we decided to go again today since a bunch of my friends went. Here are the kids right outside of Monster's Inc.





The last ride we went on was Toy Story. Thanks Abby for going again with us. Gwenie kept her glasses on the whole time, she kept saying Whee and loved being on this ride. She loves Toy Story.

Valentines Party.

Our playgroup had a little Valentines party today. It was so fun to pass out Valentines to all the kids, I spent the night before writing everyones name on their little valentine, I loved it.

The kids all loved being outside since it has been POURING rain for a long time now. It wasn't raining but it was really cold outside.



Gwenie just wanted to say cheese along with the boys. I was so glad that she was in a good mood. She had not been feeling well and did not sleep really great last night, which is sooooo not like her. She is getting in alot of teeth and I was thinking that she might have a bladder infection because she had been acting weird yesterday, but so far today she has been fine.



Gavin and Brody. Buds forever. These guys are so cute together.



This girl loves the slides. Boy was I happy that she was happy and having a great time. (Aside from the couple of times that she screamed for no reason, sorry girls, I bet it hurt your ears.) I was hoping that she would get tired and take a great nap and she did, 3 1/2 hours!!! She totally needed it.



Thanks Abby for organizing the party. I didn't get to eat anything but a little cupcake since I was talking to everyone and chasing after Gwenie, to bad since there was a ton of food.

Park

Another hot day here in Cali. What is with it being almost Thanksgiving and in the 90's?!?!?! CRAZY! Luckily the park has a big cover over the toys so the kids don't burn.

Gwenie always can tell when someone is unhappy or sad. She comes and gives you hugs and kisses, she is so sensitive to others. She could tell that Hayden was sad, but she got her smiling fast.

Friends. Only some of them. Really we need to take more pictures of us together. I love this one, the colors are so pretty and you guys all look great!



This is one of Gwenie's favorite parks, she loves everything about it. Especially that it has a big field and she can run far where I can still see her. Freedom is her middle name.

Halloween Crafts

Our playgroup got together today to make these tie-dye Halloween T-shirts:



While the moms were getting the shirts ready, the kids all got together to decorate graham crackers, but lets face it all of it ended up on their faces and in their mouths, not on the crackers! It was Gwenie's first time eating ANY candy, let alone candy corns (which is what she is going to be for Halloween) so she was in heaven. She doesn't even have any left on her plate!

Hayden told me that she was saving hers for later! Smart girl.

Gavin didn't waste anytime eating his once he was done decorating it. I love how Spencer/Lincoln (Twins and I can tell who is who when I can see them together, any help? Katie?) is looking on.

The shirts have to soak for along time, so we then gave the kids Popsicles. Sugar high anyone?





Charise has a great backyard with lots of toys and a swing set that the kids loved. I got Noah to smile his great smile!

Obviously Gwenie did not want to smile for the photo op because there was a Popsicle involved, but oh well. It is hard to get pictures of the 2 of us together because I am the photographer in the family.

FUN:
With it being the month of Halloween I decided to do a fun project with Gwenie. We made Happy Halloween cards for the Grandparents and for our friend Mason. Gwenie fingerpainted & put on Halloween stickers.

Then left her mark on them, I am trying to get her to "sign" her letters.



Here is the finished project before we put them in the mail.



NOT FUN:

I don't know what made me think I could handle an outing when I just hurt my wrist. I never should have left the house on Friday when all of my friends were going to the pumpkin patch. It was not fun for me at all. Gwenie really didn't want to be there and I was in pain and really needing to get all packed for our weekend getaway. I went because I really wanted to just have some fun with Gwenie before I left for 3 days without her. I should have stayed home. These pictures look like we had fun, there was moments of it, but not really.





Doesn't she look like she is so full of herself. I love it!

catch up

As many of you know we had visitors, Mason and Erin. Here are some of the things that we did this week. I am alittle sad that we didn't get Gwenie and Mason in their Superhero capes together, maybe some other time?!?!?

Whee....both Gwen and Mason say that as they went down the slide.



She is constantly surprising me. She got up on the ladder and sat on it all on her own.



We did alot of taking pictures and making sure that we got the pictures that we wanted.



Gwenie also had her first true pigtails. I just love having a girl. (sorry Abby)



I did host a playdate so Erin could meet the girls and of course to just have some fun. I loved this picture of all the kids together, especially because Gwen and Sawyer are looking at eachother and it is so sweet.

Needless to say we had lots of fun. It was a busy 2 weeks with driving to Utah and hanging out with my family for a week and then having Erin and Mason here. So today we are just hanging around the house and getting it cleaned and doing the laundry, I know, truly exciting stuff!!!
