Christmas Festivities

So.......I know it has been forever since I posted last, but all I have to say is POST PARDOM SUCKS!!!!! I had it with Gweniveve but I was able to function and it was ok. But this time it is a billion times worse and I had to get on meds to function which if you know me is a HUGE deal. I HATE meds.

Anywho, here is some of the pictures from this last month.

Penelope at 6 weeks. Erin made me those fabric blocks that spell out Penny. We call her Penelope or L-O-P (per Gwen).

I do get out of the house when Brett is around. It is alot easier to be around people then to be alone with PP. This time Brett's family went with us to the Orange County zoo in Irvine. We went last year also, it is really fun to go and see the animals plus Santa. Gwen, of course, had to bring Elmo along.

She was alittle scared of the goat, but Papa wanted to feed it.

Gwen would not sit on Santa's lap so I had to get in the photo. Bummer.

Santa

They had crafts next to Santa and Gwen loves to color. Kami was helping her color a reindeer hat.

Then we rode on the train. This time they had TONS of peakcocks running around and we got to see then up close, they are so pretty.

Santa at the Zoo.

I wanted to get the traditional (atleast to me) Christmas picture with Santa, but everywhere I went you were not allowed to use your own camera or if you did you had to buy a picture then you could use yours. Well that was not for me, so today I remembered that Irvine Regional Park had an awesome pumpkin patch (remember this post?)that we went to, so they must have an awesome Santa, right?? I get online and they say that Santa is there from noon until 8pm and that can you take your own pictures for FREE!! YAY!! Brett's parents came along with us and we got there and they said it was not the park that had Santa (they had him at night and you had to ride the train to get to meet him for $8 a person! Sheesh!) it was the zoo that had Santa! Did they just say the zoo?!?! I had NO idea that they had a zoo at that park. We were so surprised and very impressed with the small zoo that they had. It was only $2.00 a person and Gwenie was free. They had so many animals and we were amazed at how awesome their selection was:

Lions, bears, bobcats, beavers, goats, sheep, eagles, peacocks, leopards, turtle doves, raccoons, and so much more. Here are some of them. I got some great pictures.

I love this family photo. If only we had this in time for the Christmas card, oh well.

We had so much fun, it was such a surprise to be at a zoo and to see all the cool stuff that they had. (NOTE: Girls we so have to go as a group one day soon.) Santa was in the middle and he was great with Gwenie trying to get her to be his friend.

Hi, Santa.

But I had to get into the picture with her this year. She wasn't afraid she was just shy.

We left the zoo and went back to the park and went on the train. On the ride we even got to see some wild peacocks. Gwenie kept saying "whee" the whole time, she loved the train ride. Thanks Mom & Dad.

let's go

Doesn't this pictures crack you up? Grandma & Grandpa posing with Gwenie when all she wanted was a drink of her water.
