Miniture Golfing with the whole fam

We went golfing at Camelot with Brett's whole family one random Saturday! We had so much fun and Gwenie lasted the whole 18 holes.

It was hot but there was shade. Penelope was so great. She was content the whole time in her stroller.



Silly me but I was so excited to be the first person to score a Hole in One!!!!



Gwenie did really good. She got a bunch of 3's.



Brett's parents. Aren't they sooo cute?? Love you guys. I am really lucky to have great in laws.



Gwen landed in the water alot but we think she did that on purpose so she could get wet!



We had a really fun day!

Water fight anyone?

This summer has been FULL of us going to Brett's parents and swimming! First the girls and I dressed up in the clothes that I made so I could show my in laws.

The girls love the pool and what is summer without swimming? We needed some new toys to play with in the pool so we made a quick stop off at Target to buy some water guns. And let me say they were a HUGE hit. First it was just Dad and Brett with Gwen egging them on.



Here Brett is hiding behind the pool toys....Coward!!! Well he would say it is smart warfare tactics, but I say coward!!!



Then Kami jumps in. Grabs the last water gun......



and now there are 3. Pure Craziness ensues along with tons of laughter.



While Gwen, Marley and Matthew just watch hoping not to get the gun pointed at them.



This was all before Gwen had swim lessons so she was wearing her floaties. Now she can swim awesome, thanks to Bethany.



Penelope along with Jan, Mom & I just watched from a safe distance.



Then after all of that craziness, Brett taught Gwen had to do a Canon ball. It was hilarious.



It is going to be sad when winter is here and the pool will go unused!

Smores Anyone??

We have been making smores in my in laws backyard as much as possible this summer! My father in law is awesome and makes a fire for us so we can roast the marshmallows just like if we were at the beach. I didn't have my camera so I grabbed my father in laws and took pictures.

We swim and eat dinner and then roast our marshmallows so we can make our yummy smores!



Gwen of course is the messiest!

Poor Penelope really wanted to eat them to! Soon I promise.

Gwen also found 2 lady bugs and loved having them crawl all over her. This is my bug girl who when sees a bug in the house (even a spider) she runs to get toilet paper and grabs the bug and flushes it down the toilet. It is awesome! I don't want bugs in my house and since Brett is always at work when we find some she gets rid of them for me! Of course I never let her know I don't like them we just say it is COOL.

Kami's Birthday

Well we made Kami's birthday as fun as possible since she had just got out of the hospital. We tried to pamper her. Gwenie blow dried her hair and then I curled it.

Then I made her a cake that was Gluten-free and Soy free. Since she is intolerant to both.



I called it Chocolate Candy Bar Cake and here is the recipe if you would like to make it. It is really yummy.



She opened her presents.....



With the help from Gwenie.



Mom & Dad gave her the Dutch Oven from Le Creuset that she had been dying for.

It was a fun and relaxing day.

Coloring Eggs

We went over to Brett's parents to color eggs and have some fun. I had Gwen wear the purple sweater that Kami crocheted for her. It is soooo cute.

Melodie helped me alot with Gwen to color the eggs and get everything set up.





Luckily Gwen got into the whole thing once she saw the cups with the colors in them and found that the eggs transformed into colored ones. Of course she wanted all of them in the blue cup.



As you can see Brett just sat and watched! I don't blame him as we were both sooooo tired from only getting 3 hours of sleep that night. Gwen is having bad dreams and it is not helping in the sleep department.

The aftermath.....always such a mess.



Then as the eggs were drying the girls were napping and Kami & Melodie made chocolate covered rice krispies. Have you seen the commercial? This egg Melodie did and she of course covered the whole thing in chocolate.....my kind of girl!



Then we all had to eat one. Kami, as a joke, put some on Penelope's face! They sure were yummy.





Then the eggs were dry and ready to put stickers on. Gwen could not wait for this part. I got her Toy Story stickers and she had fun putting them on.



Brett even helped out.



It is so fun to color eggs!
