Obsessed with Art

We got this awesome easel from Bethany! Gwen has been in heaven every since. She loves to use chalk, paint or use crayons on the paper that we went to Ikea and bought. Just about anyone that she sees she makes something for them.

The first time we used the paint we didn't have a paint brush or something to dump the paint onto. So she just used a sponge brush and dipped it into whatever paint she wanted. Of course the paint got mixed up but it was no big deal.



We waited until Penelope took a nap since she can stand up and reach the tray with the paint on it.



It was hard to get a great picture of Gwen's face since the easel was in the way, haha, but you can kind of see her concentrated look here. I love it!! It is such a Brett face.



After alittle bit she just used her hands to spread some of the paint, it really is finger paint that we have anyway.



All done and waiting for it to be dried. Gwen gave this first creation to Aunt Kami. The bottom right corner has a shovel and so Gwen deemed this the Shovel Painting.



Trust me this was just the first of soooo many other art creations she has done. She loves it tons.

weekend.

We went to Brett's parents house for the Father's Day and to celebrate Kami's birthday. We had tons of fun watching Gweniveve playing the the Plinko game that my father in law made, isn't it awesome??



We also enjoyed the pool, Gwenie loved being able to walk along the step.



It was that time of year again, we all got to pick Boysenberries and eat them from Dad's vines. It was Gwenie's first year and I don't think she liked them. He makes jam every year and submits it to the Orange County Fair and has won 1st place on numerous occasions. What will it be this year???






Last but not least, Grandpa took Gwenie on wheelbarrow rides, which she loved.



I almost forgot, I said that I would share the cards that Gwenie made for everyone, so here at the two cards that she made. Sorry I didn't get a picture of the end result after we wrote on them and everything.

art project???

I am trying to practice with Gweniveve doing art projects so that we can make cards for Father's Day and Birthday's. This was our first attempt at it today with finger paints. Gwen LOVED it.

I think we won't use the apron, it looks a little big.






She probably should have been naked, she got it everywhere on her, but atleast the packaging was correct and it all washed off.

I think we need alot more practice before we can give these to people, but atleast we are having fun.
