Translation: you can't see them. "Can't seeums" are the little nats/bugs that are always grouped together and follow you everywhere you go. You can't see them until they are upon you. An episode of Backyardigan's calls them this and I love that they call them that, it is the perfect name for them. We have them right outside our house and I am always in them. It has got me thinking of all the things that come upon us and we Can't Seeum.
Kids getting older. Why is it that they grow up so fast? Gweniveve is 18 months today. CRAZY!!! I love this age. I love all the talking. Walking on her own. Fun and silly things that she does that has us cracking up. Like this video, this is a different video then the one I posted the other day. Look at her head shaking and her feet stomping, where did she learn this? Is this what I look like when I am dancing with her? Scary.
Can't seeums, Brett. I always wanted to know growing up who would be my husband. What can I say I am a total romantic. I never could see him though. To find out he was right around the corner from me the whole time. We knew alot of the same people, but never met until after his mission. Weird. He works hard, he is always surprising me with all that he can get done in a day. He makes me laugh and thinks that I am sexy, what more could I want?
Summer is almost over. I swear I was just telling Brett that I can't wait for summer so that I can wear my summer clothes. It went by to fast. What are we going to do to keep busy when it starts raining? Watch movies and read??? I will miss looking at this messy face and enjoying the outside.
Another thing that has me sad is that all of my family has moved away. This was a total can't seeum for me. I always thought we would all be around each other and now I am the only one that is left. Note to self: Must start pretending to need tons of help and cry to my mom so that she will feel the need to come down and "help" me out. Check.
Who would have ever seen that I would have such a sweety pie of a daughter? I never could see it. It was hard to picture my kids, even though I always wanted them, I just could not seeum. I love that she gives you kisses and hugs without you asking for them.
At night when Brett is done working and we are resting, Gwenie takes turns going from one of us to the next and laying down. It is so funny. We are both laying down on the couch and she will lay with me for a while them get up and lay with Brett and keep doing this. Such a cutie. I can't believe that Gweniveve is 18 months, that is the biggest can't seeums for me.
Brett is always wanting to give Gwenie "treats" and I tell him "no" and get mad when he does, especially the first time he gave her ice cream. In my opinion why do it when they don't know what it is, why not wait for as long as you can before giving them "treats". He was very proud of me this weekend when our little neighbor, Kailey, brought us Popsicles and I gave Gwenie one. She even tried to steal mine as you can see from the picture.
Afterwards she looked like she was in a sugar coma:
We played basketball with our neighbors, or should I say we played HORSE. We had fun playing and then after the boys were playing FOREVER because they kept making their shots, we went to our neighbors and made smores in their fire pit. It got a little crazy because it was Gwenie's first time seeing fire and she just wanted to touch it.
