Water fight anyone?

This summer has been FULL of us going to Brett's parents and swimming! First the girls and I dressed up in the clothes that I made so I could show my in laws.

The girls love the pool and what is summer without swimming? We needed some new toys to play with in the pool so we made a quick stop off at Target to buy some water guns. And let me say they were a HUGE hit. First it was just Dad and Brett with Gwen egging them on.



Here Brett is hiding behind the pool toys....Coward!!! Well he would say it is smart warfare tactics, but I say coward!!!



Then Kami jumps in. Grabs the last water gun......



and now there are 3. Pure Craziness ensues along with tons of laughter.



While Gwen, Marley and Matthew just watch hoping not to get the gun pointed at them.



This was all before Gwen had swim lessons so she was wearing her floaties. Now she can swim awesome, thanks to Bethany.



Penelope along with Jan, Mom & I just watched from a safe distance.



Then after all of that craziness, Brett taught Gwen had to do a Canon ball. It was hilarious.



It is going to be sad when winter is here and the pool will go unused!

Brett's Birthday

I need to post some real posts so that I am not far behind once A Month of Mornings is over. Brett turned 31 the beginning of this month. It was a Saturday and I got all of us girls dressed up for the ocassion.

Brett's parents watched the girls and we went to go and see Avatar in 3D. It was a very pretty movie and the story was cute. Then all of us went out to eat at Wood Ranch BBQ.





We came back to Brett's parents and opened presents. The coolest present was the Mario blanket that Kami crocheted for Brett. Isn't it really cool??? Gwenie really loves it.



I made Brett the cake that he wanted as is our tradition and Gwenie helped him blow out the candles. She loves birthdays and sings the happy birthday song all the time.

I have not wanted to add a new post, which is so not like me, because I just LOVE Superhero Gwenipants!!!! That post just made me smile and I loved the pictures that I got, I was so happy with my picture taking skills, they are getting better! (more on that later, NEWS!)

On Friday I met my SIL Kami and cousin Kortni at Disneyland after Gweniveve's nap. We went on Jungle Cruise first, Gwenie loves this ride.

Then around 5:00 everyone else met us there. Poor Brett came from work and so he was in jeans and I didn't think to bring him shorts to wear, it was so muggy out. For those who don't know everyone, it is Brett's Dad Brett, Gwenie, Brett, Janet, Kortni, Kami, Melodie Brett's mom. I took this picture after we went on Big Thunder Mountain, which is my favorite.



As you can see Brett gives Gwenie his blackberry and she is a pro. He has created a monster. Blackberry or Crackberry???



Of course Gwenie had tons of fun, it had been so long since we had gone to Disneyland and surprisingly it was not very crowded for it being summer.



I realized that all the times we have come to Disneyland I have never taken a picture of Gwenie on the sword in the stone, so of course I had to get one and she loved trying to pull it out.





Mom, Jan, Gwenie and I went on Snow White while all the others went on Materhorn. Gwenie really remembers the rides and you can tell which ones she does because she jumps out of your arms to run to it and that is what she did for Snow White.



There is this awesome candy store over buy Winnie the Pooh ride and I love going there. They have these marshmallows with caramel and covered in chocolate on a stick and I love them, thanks Dad for turning me on to them.



Here we are on the carosel, Gwenie saw it from the sword in the stone and really wanted to go on it.



Needless to say we had tons of fun. It was also a great break for me since I have been hollowed up in the house with Miss Crankypants.

The 4th found us at many different locations and being social, when we are not usually. Gweniveve is the social butterfly of the family and especially loves men, because once again, she is a Daddy's girl. I swear, I only have heard Ma Ma twice!!!!

First thing we did was go to a Pancake breakfast, which was just way to hot for 8:30 in the morning. Gwenie didn't like the pancakes and just wanted her cherrio's.

Then we came back to our house and played outside and talked to our neighbors, but I realized that my neighbor took all the pictures because I had to charge my camera battery so I will have to wait til she emails them to me and post those later.

After Gweniveve woke up from her nap we went to a street fair with my in laws and Jan and her family. It was SOOOOOOOOO HOT!!! I am glad there wasn't much to do (the website for the city really lied about all the fun games they would have for kids). Gwenie did go in her first bounce house and loved every minute of it as you can see from her face:







Once we were sweaty enough, which was not even a half and hour, we went to the in laws and jumped in the pool, had a BBQ and popped poppers. Surprisingly Gwenie loved the poppers and even tried to run away with one.

I haven't taken pictures lately because of Gwenie's booboo, but today I just went to town and took TONS. I just think that she is just so cute and fun. Please indulge me.






We even got out of the house today and went to lunch with grandma and jan. Doesn't Brett and his mom look so much like each other????

Birthday Party for 2

We celebrated Gweniveve's Birthday and also my father-in-law's birthday today. We had it at my in-laws because Gweniveve LOVES their cat, she calls him "Kitty", so we thought it would be another present to her to play with him. I ordered cupcakes from once upon a cupcake and they were so cute and looked great with Gweniveve's decorations. My sister-in-law and mother-in-law also make bigger cupcakes, one for Dad and one for Gwenie. Gweniveve recieved TONS of gifts and I know she is going to love all the new stuff.
