Lots of Firsts

We have had alot of firsts lately and I need to keep up with them. (all pictures taken with my iphone)

Sisters

We went to the Spectrum and rode the train for the first time.

Gwen drew her first picture! Isn't her banana so cute?

Art by Gwen

Penelope went to her first movie, Toy Story 3. We went with Brett's parents and Kami on a Friday night. Both the girls were great, we all loved the movie it was so funny and clever.

Happy girl!

Penelope also had her first tooth break through during the movie, which surprised me since Gwenie didn't get her first tooth until she was 1 year old.

Loves being outside

ok. That was all of our firsts so far. Here are just some other stuff that we have been doing. Just hanging out in the backyard watching Gwenie swim.

Relaxing

Gwen has been going through a Sesame Street phase and the other day she was eating soup and said, "Cookie Monster eats like this!" Then proceeded to show me. I then went to get the video since I thought it was hilarious.

Now I am all caught up and ready to leave tomorrow for my parents! I am so excited to hang out with them. Then we are off to go and stay with Erin! Between my Mom and Erin expect alot of sewing to be going on!!!!!

The Movies Part 2

A bunch of us met at Red Robin for dinner and then the girls all left to see the movie. Red Robin was really loud, but I got some cute pictures.

I think this is the first picture I like of me with my braces. Notice my hand holding Gwenie's head so that she would look at the camera, she just wanted to color.

Look at those eyelashes!

look at those eye lashes!

Her first corn dog.

What a nice Grandpa, she wanted to go on the carousel and he took her on it.

So I TOTALLY underestimated the "teeny bopper" girls that would be at Twilight. I was not prepared for them screaming every TWO seconds during the movie. Don't get me wrong it made for an interesting experience and it was super funny, but it got somewhat annoying when you missed part of the movie because you could not hear what was going on. I really need to go and see it again with out the "teeny bopper's" .

I was not letting myself get to excited for the movie because I really did not like the actor choices, but let me tell you once the movie started that all went away. Edward was still a great Edward even though I didn't think that I would like the actor that was chosen, boy was I wrong. I liked the movie, but thought there was way to many drawn out scenes where Bella and Edward just starred at eachother (and I am a total romantic, so that must tell you that their were just to many of those scenes). They left out alot of great dialogue from the book, they could have filled those drawn out starring scenes with some dialogue. I was a fan though and can't wait to see it again.

Kami, Jessica & I waiting in the theater. Really wanting the movie to start.

REVIEW

Since alot of you asked me for my review of the movie here you go. Don't worry I don't have any spoilers.

REPORT:

For those that do not like X-Files because it has to do with Aliens, ( I know you were worried about that, Kami)this is the movie for you. It had nothing to do with Aliens and it was just a typical FBI solving the murder, but oh so good. I think anyone would like this movie, if you like murder mysteries. This movie stands alone and you do not need to be an avid X-Files watcher. It does have some gore in it, but you would expect that with this kind of movie. Plus the banter between Mulder and Scully is totally worth the ticket, alone. They are so great together.

Does that help anyone???

I want to believe.....

As you know from this previous post that we are big X-Files fans. Today the X-files movie comes out. We got Brett's mom to come over after work to watch Gwenie and we are going to see it. I even think I am going to go and buy the tickets early today since there will probably be long lines. For those of you that have not watched the trailer here it is....looks so good and doesn't Scully look awesome???

I am posting about this since Gwenie and I have not been doing anything this week because she is getting over a cold and I am worn-out from all of her sickness, almost 2 weeks worth. But here are a couple of shots I got during some happiness.

love this

I recently rented Penelope and I LOVED it!!! It is really colorful and looks very artistic with all the scenery that is used, it had me wanting to go there with my camera and get some great shots. Plus, I LOVE James McAvoy. He has tremendous talent and I have loved him in everything that I have seen him in. His character is just so great and has some of the best lines. James presents them with his charm, he is funny and endearing. I have to go out and buy this one. Please go and get it you will love it, plus it is only PG. Who can bet that?!?!?

romance

Many of you know already that I am a HUGE romantic. I love to read romances and watch all the good movies over and over again. I am feeling extra romantic, if only Brett where home, I thought I would post some of my favorites. I like to read books over and over so I always buy books instead of going to the library, I am not someone that can not read a good book again and again.

So here is some and I repeat some of my favorites:

Here are the movies that I could not live without

I know this does not seem like a romance, but it is. Everytime Rocky says "Adrian" or in actual Rocky words, "Adddddriiiiiiannnnnn" I am lost

Oh, the sexy Mr. Darcy

Now that I have posted all of these I realize that most of them are about forbidden love, I must have a thing for it.
