waxing disaster

So I was not going to share this story, but last night Brett started laughing and I asked, "what was so funny ?" and he said " I was remembering your face with the wax all over it". I started laughing also and decided that I was not mad or embarrassed any longer and appreciated the hilariousness of the experience. This is what happened.....I refused taking a picture so there is none.

I have my own home waxer and do all of my own waxing (face,body,etc) it is great and I have always loved it. I needed some wax remover to take off the remaining wax when you are done, and went to the store, but they do not sell what I have always used anymore so the clerk gave me another one and said this would work. I get home and wax that night and for some reason I looked at the directions on the bottle and as I am reading it says, DO NOT USE ON FACE, only for using to clean off waxer. What the heck????? This is the sole purpose of the thing to use on the face. That clerk is going to get a piece of my mind!!! I am in a panic as it is late at night and I have wax all over my face. My eyelids are stuck and some is in my eyebrows. I wake Brett up and tell him to help me!!!!! He laughs and then gets on the internet to find home remedies to get this stuff off, but there is nothing. We try many things and I scrub, scrub and scrub and after all of that and trying tons of things to get it off, one of which was lubricant, my face is bright red, swollen and burns like fire and is still sticky. Next time do not trust the clerk to know what they are talking about.
