8 years ago today Brett took me on our first date and 3 1/2 months later we were married. Craziness that we have been together for that long, we really are old. Brett and I met at church and he asked me out when we were on a group activity at the beach. That next Friday night Brett took me to The Cheesecake Factory and one of the things that I remember about that night was that I couldn't eat anything I was nervous and excited because he seemed like a really awesome guy.
We laugh because at the time I was driving a new VW Bug ( which I still miss, I LOVED that car) and Brett told his friends that he HATED that car and would never date anyone who drove one and I always told my friends that I would not date a a guy that had just gotten home from his mission (He had only been home for a couple of weeks) because they tended to be weird and needed at least a year to get back to normal. But, luckily, we both went against what we always said we would not do. Doesn't it always work that way???
We always go out to dinner to celebrate and tonight will be no exception. I am so happy that he asked me out and that we are together. He is such a funny guy and he keeps me laughing. HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!!!!!

Awwww .... cute pictures! When I Remembered today was Cinco de Mayo I immedietely thought of you guys! I'm glad you get to go out to dinner together. Craziness that it's been so long, huh? I"m so glad that you both went against your ways and ended up together ... because you're the cutest couple and some of our best friends ever! Happy Dating-iversary!

I remember when you started dating Brett. We all thought he was a really cool guy...none of us thought it would be such a whirlwind romance, but we're glad you ended up together. I can't imagine you with anyone else!
