dear senior citizen......

As all of you know Brett is not a Senior Citizen, but his Dad is (sorry Dad) according to the government. I was reminded today as I got the mail that this happens alot and it makes me laugh everytime and lets me have a running joke with Brett for weeks everytime we get something like this in the mail. Brett and his Dad have the same name just different middle names, and I would caution anyone who wants to do this to their own child because it can be a pain, but at moments like today it is hilarious.

We kept getting mail from AARP (Senior Citizens only club) for Brett because they think that he is his Dad. This has happened lots of times before, we have things on our credit report that are really his parents stuff. You would think that the people who handle that stuff realize that these are to separate people because they have different middle names and different SS#'s, but no, they are that dumb.

Atleast today when Brett gets home I get to call him my "sugar daddy" and "old guy". I just love having fun (hehe).

P.S. Dad YOU are not old, I just like to tease Brett, don't forget that my Dad is really the old one.

This is what I really was going to post about today. I made Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Treats with Chocolate topping, yummy!!! I have been thinking of these things for weeks now and found a recipe and made them for the first time!!

Here is the recipe for those who want it:

1 cup Sugar
1 cup Karo Syrup

Mix together and bring to a boil, turn off heat and add 1 cup of Peanut Butter

Pour into bowl with 6 cups of Rice Krispies

Put into 9x12 pan

1 bag of Chocolate Chips
1 bag of Butterscotch Chips

Melt together on oven or microwave. Microwave at (3) intervals of 30 seconds, mixing together after each one.

Pour on top of Rice Krispies.

How funny! I would totally tease Bryan about that too and I am really surprised that they get them confused.

Those look SO YUMMY! Now I have to make something sweet but I don't have all the stuff to make that, brownies will just have to do.

Um where is the picture of you cutting it and eating it!? That is the best part! I hope they turned out to taste as good as they look - because they look delicious!

E,
I can't take a picture of myself eating it, maybe I can get Brett to take some when he gets home, and they are super yummy.

This looks and sounds so good. With all the peanut butter, chocolate and sugar it is just my type of dessert. I still make no-bake cookies a lot and eat them for days! No wonder I am not a size 4, but why are you is what I want to know?

YUMMMMY! I am a peanut butter addict! I think I might have to make those tomorrow. Maybe having the AARP think Brett is a Senior Citizen will come in handy...you could get lots of discounts at restaurants! :)

So I guess it's a good thing that we didn't name Blake with the first name "Devon". Those rice krispies look so yummy! Those are some of Devon's favorite treats!
