I have been so excited all week for my parents to get here. On Friday they finally arrived, whoo hoo!! I was looking forward to having them all to myself for the whole day. This never happens as my family is HUGE and there is always others around, which is great, but sometimes you need the one on one time.

My Dad loves his hamburger's and apparently where he lives in Utah it does not serve up a good hamburger. I promised him that we would go to his favorite burger joint. Little did I know that I would take the wrong freeway because I was talking to my Dad and get us a little lost. Typical of me, I know. Brett was not surprised when I called him at work to help me out, good thing he was not in court. I had been thinking of their yummy fried zucchini all week but I was so upset because I just could not eat them with my braces. ARG!!!! (Can you tell this picture was taken with my old camera?? Sorry, it is just this one.)

Then we went shopping to get out of the house. Gwenie only wanted my Dad, Grandpa. She kept reaching for him and giving him hugs and kisses the whole day. I LOVED it. I don't even know why she was being so lovey with him, she doesn't see my parents a whole lot,but it was great.

Gwenie was being really fussy and I could not find out what was wrong, but my Mom stuck her finger in Gwenie's mouth and told me that she was getting 4 teeth in and that she already had one of her MOLARS. Well no wonder. I did not think to feel that far back in her mouth. I thought you got all of your teeth before you got your molars?? Once Brett got home from work, we went out to dinner and then went to get Thirfty's ice cream, YUM!! Double scoop of Rainbow Sherbet for me, Brett & Mom got single scoop of something chocolate. (I don't know what it was called)

Again Gwenie just wanted my Dad, maybe because he didn't get ice cream either???

The whole purpose for their trip was for me to drive them to San Pedro so they could go on their Mexican Rivera cruise. I gave them lots of pointers as we just went on this cruise in March and a detailed note telling them where to go so that they could buy Gweniveve and I sandals. I can't wait. Next Saturday I pick them up and we get to have them around for another day.

P.S. I decided to embrace the brace face.

How fun. It's always nice to spend time with parents. The older you get the more you realize how important they are and how much you enjoy being around them.
Gweniveve is so adorable. I haven't seen a picture of her since the Christmas Photo my parents got. I can't believe how big she is.
